Melectronics warranty, waiting for 1 month

I bought a new smartphone from a Melectronics store in January 2020. Unfortunately, it stopped working a good 3 months later during the coronavirus crisis. I couldn't contact customer service by phone or online at the time. So I took it to a store as soon as it reopened. Since the smartphone had to be sent in for the warranty claim and I haven't heard anything yet (!), I called the company directly to have the defect checked. They received the smartphone on May 23, 2020, i.e. 11 days after I handed it in at the store (you can also check this directly online, which confirmed this statement). I therefore certainly have to expect another 2-3 weeks waiting time, as they work according to receipts. How can it be that it takes so long for the Melectronics branch to send the device to the repair center in the first place? I don't think this can be explained by the coronavirus crisis, as Melectronics didn't have to check anything itself! In the meantime, I had to buy a new smartphone as an emergency solution and am still waiting for my warranty claim... What a shame, this service...
