Normally Migro products are always well thought out and good. But with this dough, I get annoyed every time! It's brittle, tears when you roll it out and when it's in the oven, the edges buckle. And to top it all off, in our little Migros store I can't even choose whether I want the conventional cake batter or the budget one, because they only have the budget one left! So I would have to travel to a larger Migros branch just for the dough: not very ecological!

Hello, I can only confirm the problems with the cake batter.
I also bought budget dough, or rather HAD to buy it, as the other one disappeared from the shelf without being replaced.
And I am also disappointed.
It makes me "rancid" when the dough sticks together and tears. The product is so unusable.
It also makes me rancid that I can no longer buy the other dough nearby (or only in large stores).

I'm glad it's not just me! Sometimes I thought, maybe I'm just clumsy, but since it's the same every time, I didn't doubt myself anymore... Hopefully the Migi people will revise the recipe and rethink the concept (just taking a popular dough off the shelves is not very customer friendly)!

I've just read a comment on the same topic in another place: unfortunately, the rectangular puff pastry and cake dough is only available in the budget version! I find that more than strange... supposedly the former dough was sold too little! But you can tell that the budget dough is cheaper, poorer quality, in my opinion!!!

I also find the budget dough impossible to handle! It sticks terribly and when you try to take it apart, it tears. I really can't bake a wiche like this! I'll probably have to stock up at the Coop when I need the rectangular dough. What a shame!

The breaking up thing always happens to me too! I thought I was storing the dough incorrectly or the processing temperature wasn't right.

I'm glad that many people seem to feel the same way as we do! Those of us reporting here are probably just the tip of the iceberg. So there's a good chance that the recipe will be revised again and we'll soon be able to buy our waffle dough in Migros again ;-))
