Before Migros bought Denner, there was talk in the media that Migros was planning to open M-Budget stores.
I would welcome it if Migros were to open an Aldi-type discounter (hard discount, not soft discount).
It would also have themed weeks.
The Edeka Group also has several discount stores in Germany: Netto Markendiscount, Np_Markt, Treff3000, Diska

I stand by my stance: would do without the items than change stores!

As an avowed M-Budget fan, I think it would be a great idea, as long as the M-Budget products don't disappear from the normal stores, of course. As far as I'm concerned, it should also be automated as far as possible to save costs, i.e. only with self-scanning, no staffed checkouts, no customer service, no cash payments, no special promotions (Mania etc). And with a large selection of M-Budget products (unfortunately not all of them are available everywhere, e.g. the cutlets are missing in many smaller stores).
