Hello Migros, since the new packaging of the "almonds donated" article 1053.320, the quality has suffered! There are almost no whole sticks left! For me they are more like almonds "Brösmeli"! Is this due to the processing or the quality of the almonds? I mainly use the almond sticks to decorate desserts

Hello walter M, thank you for your comment. I am sorry that you are no longer satisfied with the quality. The packaging machine can cause breakage when filling the slivered almonds. However, the system is set up so that the drop heights are as short as possible when filling the slivered almonds. However, it is possible that a little more breakage may occur during retraction. Another possibility is that when the sealing seams are welded, the machine presses on the product when the bags are overfilled and crushes it. These bags are poorly sealed and are rejected. As we do not dispose of the goods for sustainability reasons, the bags are opened and returned to the same production line. We have communicated your input to the responsible department and the employees are now being trained to look out for breakage when opening the rejected bags and to stop adding them.
