Almond milk vs Migros sustainability promise?
Mandelmilch vs Migros Nachhaltigkeitsversprechen?
It's interesting that Migros makes big promises to become more sustainable on the one hand. On the other hand, it has almond milk in its range, and even promotes it. 1 liter of almond milk contains 2.3% almonds = 23 grams. It takes up to 15,000 liters of water to produce 1 kg of almonds. So: 1 liter of almond milk requires up to 345 liters of water! Not taking into account the transportation routes, that's a huge "footprint". Yes, the customer wants it and yes (probably the main reason) you can earn a lot of money with it. But what a brilliant company I would support that does NOT sell such products! It would be courageous, a role model, pioneering work. It could even weave with it! What would you think of such a company?
