Stupid question but are there untreated mandarins for sale? I have the feeling that no matter how organic or whatever, they are all covered in wax and treated. Which ones are not?
Hoi Bodenseeknusperli, the "Tacle" mandarins from Sicily are untreated. However, this is a special variety: it is a mixture of the half-blood orange and a clementine. It combines the best characteristics of its parents: dark orange skin, deep orange, very juicy and aromatic flesh with few seeds. Taclés taste best as raw fruit and are available from December to February. Kind regards, Sina
