The new 4-ply cosmetic tissues from M-Budget are really super soft. But is it really necessary for these tissues to have so many layers? Two were definitely not enough, but I think four is really too many. One snood and the cloth ends up in the bin. What about the golden mean, three layers? Thank you very much.

Hoi the 2-ply ones have always been "only" cosmetic tissues and the "new" 4-ply ones are "handkerchiefs" if you want 3-ply ones you just have to look
Cosmetic tissues and handkerchiefs are not the same thing for me or I don't use them for the same purpose... I think 4-ply handkerchiefs (e.g. https://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-taschentuecher-526110200000) are fine; they're not too thick for me at all. Apart from that, as far as I have seen, all handkerchiefs have 4 layers, regardless of whether they are Migros own brand or brand name handkerchiefs (ditto for the competition). I think they all now only produce 4-ply tissues. There are different thicknesses of cosmetic tissues (e.g. https://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-kosmetiktuecher): 2-ply, 3-ply and 4-ply, with or without fragrance. I think Migros only has 2-ply, but Coop (Lidl and Aldi) also has 3-ply and 4-ply.
