It consists of 7 or 12 digits. The batch or lot number is usually found next to the product's best-before date, and usually begins with the letter L. It may also consist of a succession of letters and numbers. Hello Paul, thank you for your reply. The manufacturer has checked the reserve samples and found no anomalies. The apple juice cartons are of impeccable quality and open and close well. However, when we examined the production protocols, we found that the cap gluing machine had recently broken down. The glue nozzle was not working properly, resulting in defective caps. We then checked the apple juice cartons and eliminated the units with defects. We therefore assume that your carton went unnoticed during this inspection. Please be assured that this in no way corresponds to our quality requirements. The supplier has been made aware of this problem, which we shall continue to monitor closely. Best regards, Chloe
