M-Budget Internet with Fritzbox

M-Budget Internet mit Fritzbox

Does anyone have experience with M-Budget Internet and alternative hardware, e.g. the Fritzbox? Can the Winbox, for which unfortunately no technical details are available, be configured as a bridge so that a Fritzbox can be placed behind it? Or even use the Fritzbox directly without the Winbox? What about wireless communication between the Winbox and a TV box? Understandably, it is recommended that this should be done via cable, but with other providers a 'WiFi bridge' also works, is this also possible with M-Budget? I have already had contact with the M-Budget Internet customer service via email and telephone, but unfortunately the information was contradictory, which is why I am hoping to be able to come across concrete experience values here. Thank you very much for your help!

Only the supplied M-Budget Internet box works directly on the WAN connection. You can't set anything except the WLAN SSID and password. You also only have one NATed WAN IP, which is why port forwarding and the like don't work. You can connect your Fritte behind it, but then you have double NAT. In short: M-Budget Internet is only suitable for users without any additional requirements.... If you want cheap and still use your Fritte, then you have to switch to Wingo (which incidentally also makes the M-Budget Internet). Incidentally, Wingo is a subsidiary of Swisscom. The TV box is a neutered Swisscom UHD box, the WLAN connection is paralyzed. If you want a WLAN connection, you have to switch to external WLAN bridges from third-party providers. Yes, that's just the way it is: With a BUDGET offer, you can only expect budget performance....

Great, thank you easthouse for your detailed answer! Unfortunately, this confirms what I had feared. In the meantime, I've googled the fact that competitors offer 'free' fries directly for the duration of the contract, including repeaters for an extra charge. I will probably opt for such a solution. Thanks again!
