I have noticed when a store is being remodeled. The light in the product range is dim. I thought I'd take a flashlight with me, and I'm sure that's why. So that you can't see that the goods are no longer in perfect condition. Meat always looks good like this. Until you look at it under the right light.

The lighting conditions with the new store concept have been adapted so that the products are illuminated in a targeted and product-specific manner. In the fresh food area, for example, this is mainly done with energy-efficient LED spotlights so that the products are well lit. We also make sure that the lighting is gentle on the products to keep product spoilage as low as possible. This is also the reason why lights with a high red component are used in the meat area, which reduce discoloration on the products. Sometimes, however, the basic lighting in the store can lose some of its effect if a single product carrier is moved.
