Store assortment

Ladensortiment

We have what we affectionately call a "Lädeli" in the neighborhood, namely a Migros branch (an M) that is run by friendly people and is a pleasure to shop in. It goes without saying that the range is limited for reasons of space. However, the fact that the staff - according to the information received - have no influence on the product range ("Zurich decides") is more than strange. For example, the milk department was recently restructured and suddenly the normal pasteurized cream is missing. That can't be right! Or they are pushing the organic line, stacking up organic yogurts and when you have grown to love them (lemons are the very best variety!), they disappear again and instead you find passion yogurts that nobody wants. The budget version of butter has now also been discontinued. This is a strategic mistake, as the store is located in Basel and cheap foreign countries are so close by.
Do customers and cooperative members really have so little influence?

Hello schmidis

Thank you for your message and your feedback on your "Lädeli". We are of course delighted that you enjoy shopping with us! Your feedback is very valuable to us and we will definitely pass it on to those responsible.

We are currently streamlining our product range with the aim of creating a better overview and better adapting our stores to the needs of our customers. We started with the dairy products, among other things, which you will have noticed straight away. We naturally try to offer products that are most popular with customers in the space available. I can't explain why the organic lemon yogurt isn't one of them, because it's my favorite yogurt. :)

I'll have to ask myself exactly how the product ranges are determined in the smaller Migros stores. I'll get back to you as soon as possible with an answer.

Best regards and have a nice weekend!

It definitely knocked my socks off today.

I've been living in Muri near Bern for a year now, and the nearest large store (MM) is Freudenberg, so I've chosen this as my regular store. Over the course of this year, however, more and more of my favorite products have disappeared from this store. New products with 20x Cumulus are still mostly not available. And today I couldn't find most of the advertised promotions (including the venison pepper and some organic products). So I put the half-filled basket back on the shelves and cycled to the MMM Marktgasse store despite the rain. In future, I can leave the Freudenberg store to the left and take the further route into town - doesn't take much more time, but saves a lot of hassle.
