Customer service at SportXX Migros City in need of improvement

Kundenservice im SportXX Migros City verbesserungsbedürftig

Before the winter vacations, I bought new skis at SportX Migros City. The purchase price included adjusting the skis to my current body weight. Unfortunately, during the ski vacations I discovered that the adjustment had obviously been done in a dubious manner. The weight was set 30 kg too low (or presumably the adjustment had simply been forgotten). As a result, the skis opened very dangerously several times during the trip and I then had to have these skis properly adjusted on site in a specialist store. Back from my ski vacation, I went to SportX customer service with my complaint and actually expected at least a 'sorry' and possibly a voucher. But on the contrary: they immediately blamed the customer, denied the problem and didn't apologize anyway. Only when I wrote to Migros to complain was it suddenly possible to apologize and a voucher was promised. When I received it in the post after a long delay and after repeated requests, I couldn't help but smile - the employee responsible had realized himself with a creatively designed voucher. The amount of CHF 10.00 was supplemented with the words 'cannot be accumulated' and 'can only be redeemed in person'. Considering that I could have broken both my legs, this was a very generous gesture. I won't be buying my skis from SportX again in future and will certainly never have a ski service done there again. My trust in Migros SportX is gone. However, I would recommend Migros to send the SportX City staff on a training course on how to deal with customer complaints. A certain self-critical attitude could certainly help with future complaints. Could it be that the customer is not to blame? It seems adventurous when you stick a SUVA insurance sticker on the skis but haven't checked or adjusted them properly.
