Dear Migros, when new products are released, they are "made palatable" to customers in TV advertising, in "Der Brückenbauer", in the stores themselves and sometimes even with active promotions, or they are informed about them.
That's all well and good - there are often products that were "just missing" on the Migros shelves.
But what I would find even better as a consumer would be customer information about those products that Migros wants to REMOVE FROM THE RANGE!!! This would give me the chance to stock up on my favorite product, which will soon no longer be available and which I will then search for in vain, before it disappears.
Migros stands for open (customer) communication - as a customer, I really feel a bit taken for a ride when products simply disappear from the range without any information. You could provide corresponding information in "Der Brückenbauer", for example, and/or also on facebook! This would certainly help me - and probably many others!
Grenadine syrup is one such product that unfortunately disappeared recently without any notification. It was simply great for all kinds of drinks and desserts and has been my favorite syrup since I was a child. Instead, new berry syrups came onto the market, of which there are already plenty anyway... A real shame! :-(

I have to agree with Surfmaus. I, too, have experienced more than once that a product of my daily sweet tooth suddenly disappears. Migros has so many portals through which it could at least make such a comment. The Migros magazine, your Facebook page or Migipedia are just a small part of the possibilities.

You could also have a stand next to the checkouts after shopping, where price markups and markdowns could be communicated, but also inform customers transparently about new products or discontinuations.

I see the notification that a product is being discontinued as counterproductive, because it can also raise questions!
Was it faulty? What is bad, and much more. So it is no longer bought!
An example: cat food was labeled "new recipe coming soon", or something similar, and the dry food remained on the shelves. Only at the end, when it was offered at ½ price, did the shelves clear!

The request for us to publish which products have been discontinued comes from time to time. We are aware that this is a need expressed by various people.
However, in this case it is unfortunately not easy to implement: the different Migros regions decide for themselves which products they carry on their shelves and which they do not. This means that they also decide independently which products to discontinue. With this system, we take the individuality of each region into account. For this reason, however, it is not possible to keep an overarching list of products that are removed from the range. The effort involved would clearly exceed the benefits. Therefore, such a list is not planned at the moment.
