The fact that M-Classic chocolate is now made in Germany has been the straw that breaks the camel's back. We have all noticed for a long time that Migros will soon be changing all its products. Either there is a new manufacturer and then a new packaging, or a changed recipe, or products are dropped altogether. When we ask questions, we always get the standard answers that there are not enough sales, etc. These are excuses and we experience this every day. Even the Migros sales staff often can't understand why products are no longer available when we ask them directly face to face, even though they were selling very well. We can't understand any of this and it makes us angry. Our concerns are also often not addressed (sorry, but e.g. the bread issue in 9500 Wil SG, cottage cheese without sugar, all breads available everywhere, etc.), or even when we make good suggestions and ideas. The only way we can show Migros that we no longer agree with them is to bypass them and avoid them. We have to show them that this is no way to treat us customers. If all customers pull together, they might realize that they can't go on like this. Aldi and Lidl have become extremely good and many people only shop there or buy most of their groceries there. It's no use us being angry here, constantly writing that it's no good anyway. Migros no longer wants us to go and leave them. Because we no longer want to put up with this approach.

How the hell do people find sooooo much time to complain about chocolate?! CHOCOLATE?! Instead of complaining about why cheap chocolate is made in a neighboring country, you could reach into the freezer and buy some lettuce. Everything is supposed to get cheaper, bigger, better, more environmentally friendly and and and... but paying 10 centimes more is not an option?

We transparently disclose on all our products where they were made. The vast majority of chocolate available in Migros comes from Switzerland. If you stand in front of the chocolate shelf in your Migros store and look at where the sweet temptations are made, you will notice this. In individual cases, however, suppliers may not have sufficient production capacity due to special compositions (e.g. 27% whole nut content) of the chocolate or the quantities we require, so we resort to alternatives from abroad. Whenever possible, we source the chocolate for our own brands from Switzerland. Around 70 percent of the food in Migros stores comes from Switzerland. In the fresh produce section, this percentage is much higher in some cases. As Swiss agriculture can only supply around 60 percent of the population with its own produce ("self-sufficiency"), the high percentage at Migros is all the more remarkable. Best regards, Sebastian

Good answer. Thank you, but there is a huge range of varieties, why not make it clearer which ones are from Switzerland? Why do we have to look for this more and more on the back in the small print? And why not simply sort out those that can no longer be produced in Switzerland because of small margins, like other products? So much is disappearing, so one type of chocolate, for example, doesn't matter any more? I can buy German chocolate and EU chocolate elsewhere...

This is not just about chocolate, but about what has been going on at Migros for some time now. Don't close your eyes and don't keep talking your way out of it. If you read carefully, it's clear that the chocolate was just the icing on the cake.............. But if you don't want to hear/read................
