Cow's milk alternatives?

Kuhmilchalternativen?!

I have been looking for a lactose-free, unsweetened, plant-based alternative to cow's milk for some time now.

Of course, Migros offers various milk drinks made from different nuts or cereals. However, I am not really satisfied with any of these alternatives.

I find rice drink has too much taste of its own and is very watery, oat drink is too furry on the tongue and becomes quite bitter after a while in coffee. The same goes for the almond drink (unfortunately my favorite so far) and the spelt drink.

If possible, I stay away from soy products, as I have now heard through many channels that the phytoestrogen they contain can have negative effects on the human oestrogen balance (depending on the person, of course). It could, for example, trigger allergies or menstrual irregularities in women. ?

In a vegan community, I was told that hemp milk was confusingly similar to cow's milk, but was bitterly disappointed after testing it myself. It had a rather unique, somewhat nutty taste, but like all the other alternatives so far, it was far too watery to be inferior to cow's milk in terms of consistency.

Don't get me wrong! All these drinks are great in their own right if I want to drink a plant-based drink. But unfortunately not as a serious competitor to cow's milk.

It must be possible to produce a healthy plant-based milk alternative that is the same or at least very similar in consistency and taste to cow's milk! In terms of color, it wouldn't even have to be white for me, as I mainly use it in my coffee anyway. ?

Please you food technologists get to work and make me happy!
