the war in the granaries of ukraine and russia will have consequences. probably not for us, but for the poorest. what is migros doing? 1/3 of all food ends up in the trash. migros is pretty good when it comes to food waste. except for bread. you can't buy it at a reduced price (like at aldi) and it's never sold out. shortly before the store closes, there are always tens of loaves of bread on the shelves. i think this has to change. no more bread should be thrown away in the store. i think a solidarity loaf for war-torn countries would be cool. limited, -.50 per loaf goes to ukraine or the red cross or whatever.
