15.1.18 SRF program "ECO": The Migros reaction to the accusations against the Migros coffee supplier Neumann does not seem convincing to me: "It does not want to comment on the behavior of its supplier. It emphasizes that Neumann only generates one to two percent of its turnover with Migros. Furthermore, Migros does not purchase any coffee from the Kaweri plantation. It fulfills its duty of care towards suppliers."
In view of the social and ecological commitment and M-Generation promises etc. with which Migros advertises, as a customer I clearly expect something else. Neumann only generates 1-2% of sales with Migros is not an argument for me - and the duty of care doesn't seem particularly credible in this context. And the fact that the coffee from this plantation (from which the small farmers were forcibly expelled, including expropriation) bore the UTZ label until last year also undermines the credibility of this label.

Yes, dear Migros, your promises and advertisements raise your customers' expectations. The trust you gain from this is quickly squandered. It would do your credibility a lot of good to end your business relationship with this supplier.
