Cheese counter

Käsetheke

I was in the Wynecenter last week with my wife and saw that the cheese counter is now in the middle of the store. Before, the staff were behind the counter and had a closed-off room behind the counter where they could do their preparations. Now the cheese saleswoman stands in the middle of the store and has to cut cheese, pack, serve customers, etc. on the workbench. The customers walk around the staff. We've never seen anything so stupid. The customers walk or run around behind, in front of and next to the service counter and are in the poor woman's way. The woman must feel very uncomfortable being on display like in a zoo. Every customer can reach onto her table or spread their bacteria. I think this is an absolute no-go in terms of hygiene. I'm interested to know who came up with this "brilliant idea". We are simply appalled.

Hello Bubs53, thank you very much for your contribution. With the new cheese concept, it was important for us to get closer to our customers. By moving the preparation to the sales floor, we were able to achieve this goal. We have already implemented the further development of the cheese concept in several stores. The positive feedback from our customers confirms a high level of acceptance. Our employees and the sales figures also confirm that more customer contacts are taking place and that the level of advice has increased. Best regards, Chloe

The situation with the cheese counter at the Wynecenter Buchs AG is really unsatisfactory. You never know where to queue and whose turn it is because customers come from all sides. While waiting for the cheese, you are also in the way of the staff because they have to get to the fridge. The working conditions for the staff at the cheese counter are certainly worse than before. The counter is much too high and people have to stretch a lot or stand on a stool so that they can weigh the cheese. We would like to see the old location of the counter back.

Seems to me to be an extraordinarily unhygienic solution!!!
