To the EKZ with public transport ....

Ins EKZ mit der Virenschleuder ÖV ....

... I'd rather not - I'd rather use my own car. First of all, a HUGE THANK YOU to Migros that the barriers were open and that I didn't have to use the only payment option - namely coins. Unfortunately, just before the border opens to Austria (where the large shopping center across the border doesn't have this chicanery), the open barriers are now over.... and the whole regime runs under SKIDATA ...an Austrian company from the Salzburg region... A rogue who thinks evil. Logically... it is important that euro coins and notes are accepted - but cards are not accepted! Migros encourages everyone to pay as cashless as possible and even the credit card limits have been increased from CHF 40 to CHF 80 so that everyone can pay contactless via NFC... only with these stupid coin-operated machines - where the 50 Rp coins constantly fall through and have to be rubbed warm first ... as can be seen from the scratched front surface of the machines - they have not yet arrived in the 21st century. What does Migros intend to do FINALLY in terms of customer-friendly payment alternatives ? if only because of the huge competition from neighbouring countries ?

Sali Tessin, I would like to clarify your request. However, I'm not quite sure whether you mean payment options in a Migros supermarket or in an underground parking garage? Or does your query relate to a specific store? Best regards Silvia

It's about the parking fees in the canton of St. Gallen at the Migros supermarkets, where, with the exception of Säntispark in Abtwil, only cash payment is possible and only 15 minutes are free. The parking spaces are managed by Skidata - including the one in Säntispark. I simply don't understand why people are asked to pay cashless in the EKZ itself, but not for these parking fees... It can't be that people only use tricks such as stamping in the 15th minute with the 30-minute exit time or, as seen recently, using a meter stick from a car to control the height gauge for trucks to bypass the barrier and thus avoid paying in cash....

Hello Ticino The canton of St. Gallen prescribes parking lot management at various locations, including the Rheinpark in St. Margrethen. We had to put the barriers back into operation at all these locations on May 18. The situation for cashless payments is as follows: Cashless payment of parking fees is already possible at all new or recently remodeled branches, for example at Migros Bruggen and Lachen in the city of St. Gallen. At various other locations, including Rheinpark, clarifications are currently underway with the barrier providers to switch to credit card and/or Parkingpay. A cashless solution should therefore soon be possible here. Kind regards, Heidi
