It was a long way, but we've already come a long way. In the past, you had to get your things from different places. You went to bakers, butchers, cheesemakers and so on. Today, you can find these places directly integrated into larger Migros stores. But I still have to make a detour to a pharmacy for my medication. It would be nice if you could get your medication directly from Migros. The over-the-counter products are simply lined up on a shelf, while the prescription products can be purchased at a staffed pharmacy counter (?) similar to today's meat counter. There, of course, the corresponding medication is only handed out after the prescription has been checked. In smaller markets, only over-the-counter medicines would then be available. This is already standard in many other countries and I don't see why the journey in Switzerland should lead there at some point. Migros could play a pioneering role here and be the first supermarket chain to offer this service.
