Why has the pump dispenser been removed from some "I am" liquid soaps? It is very inconvenient when you have to hold the bottle in your hand to remove the soap. These soaps are no longer on my shopping list.

I really hope that the pump dispenser comes back as soon as possible... and that it is not a permanent "product range change".

I don't understand the reasoning. Are pump dispensers not available because of Corona (because they might be used for disinfectants)? Or has someone come up with the idea that holding the whole bottle in your (still unwashed) hand should be safer?

Ah, ok, that's understandable. You can often screw the pump dispenser from the empty bottle onto the new bottle (which also means less waste).

I had the same thought. If you simply screw the pump dispenser from the old bottle onto the new one, you have even less waste and you don't have to pick up the bottle. That's what I've been doing since the pump dispenser was discontinued.
