You have to look at the list of ingredients, the more meat the better. Preferably no vegetable by-products as, according to food law, even tree bark is allowed!!! No sugar is also important! And wet food is definitely much better for the animal, as dry food upsets the water balance and can even lead to bladder stones in cats, which is very painful!!! Go to a specialist shop, unfortunately the cheap food in the stores is often of inferior quality!
