Good evening, a new Migros has opened in Herisau. I would like to eat there sometimes in the restaurant now I wanted to ask if I can bring my dog.

as far as i know, dogs are allowed in the restaurant if they behave appropriately. but they are not allowed in the food counter. by the way: the restaurant has turned out really great, as has the migros supermarket itself.
Hello Jennycloe, thank you very much for your inquiry. How nice that you would like to dine in the new branch in Herisau! I am happy to inform you that dogs are allowed in the seating area (as long as other customers are not disturbed). They are only not allowed in the food serving area. Guide dogs are of course exempt from this rule. Kind regards, Tabea

Hello Tabea What about assistance dogs? They should not be prohibited from serving food (as long as they are prescribed by a doctor as a medical aid, can be shown the relevant documents, behave themselves and are marked accordingly).

Hello Krokette, thank you for your question. Of course, this also applies to other assistance dogs. Best regards, Chloe

Hello Cloe Why does this naturally also apply to assistance dogs? Assistance dogs have extended access rights, are allowed in healthcare facilities (doctors' surgeries, hospitals), for example, and are allowed to go to the supermarket (including the food section).

Hey Krokette, please excuse me, I didn't exactly express myself favorably. I meant that the same applies to other assistance dogs as to guide dogs. Best regards, Chloe
