Hello vegipumpkin, thank you for your comment. Palm oil can be found in a multitude of products. Because of the problems associated with its production, we founded the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) in 2004, together with WWF and other companies. The RSPO aims to improve palm oil production worldwide. What's more, we only use sustainable palm oil. In other words, no tropical forests are slash-and-burned to make way for plantations, laws are respected, and working conditions are fair and safe. For further information, please visit https://www.rspo.org/. Best regards, Madlen

I applaud your efforts to use sustainable products and to respect the planet and its workers. However, the use of palm oil in so many of your products raises the issue of consumer health. How did you do it before? Why is butter no longer used? Why don't we have a choice anymore, except to give up buying? In my opinion, you should seriously reconsider yourselves.
thank you for your comment. The possible alternatives to palm oil - butter, animal or hydrogenated fats or coconut fat - have no health benefits. From a technological point of view, it is generally not possible to replace palm oil with a liquid oil. However, Migros constantly monitors its recipes to determine the most suitable fat or oil. Technological, ecological and health aspects are all taken into account, as well as customer wishes. It's also important to know that palm oil has a long history of use. Some products have always contained palm oil. However, palm oil has only had to be declared in the list of ingredients since the beginning of 2016.
