Yes, the Gundelsheim gherkins died out a while ago, but the Spreewald gherkins have unfortunately only recently disappeared from the shelves. The hotline told me that they weren't doing well and were therefore no longer available. Which I can't understand, as they definitely had the best taste. I tried the BIO vinegar pickles and some time ago the Condy ones - no good at all. So I see myself forced to buy the Spreelings from änät der Grenze. Or perhaps one of you has a tip as to which cucumbers I could try that are similar in taste to the Gundis or Spreewälder.
Greetings and thanks

Hello everyone
The information from migginizer is exactly right: it is indeed the case that these gherkins were not popular enough and those responsible for the range have therefore decided to remove the Spreewald gherkins from the range.
I'm sorry that this has affected the gherkins that you particularly liked.
I hope you will soon find a suitable alternative product in our range.
Hello Tanja Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I came across the ALNATURA pickled cucumbers during my search. Unfortunately, they can't quite match the vinegar of the Spreelingen, as there is a little too much sugar in them for my taste. But our family will get used to it after a short period of getting used to it. But who knows how the taste of the people will develop in the future and the Spreelings will be back on the shelves.
See you soon Migginizer
