I went to a molecular dinner yesterday. For dessert there was a kind of "powder" that crackled loudly in my mouth. It immediately reminded me of an ice cream...I think it was called "Explosion". Is that right? Do these ice creams still exist?

I don't know the ice cream. But I remember that you used to be able to buy chewing gum powder in sachets at the kiosk, which crackled and popped in your mouth. Perhaps a similar principle?

Somewhere in the back of my mind I can remember a crackling in my mouth - I just can't remember whether it came from an ice cream or perhaps from this powder.

Hello everyone
According to the information from our product managers, we have twice had such a crackling ice cream with the name Explosion in our range. The first time was in 1996 and then again from 2004 to 2005.
Unfortunately, the products had to be removed from the range each time due to insufficient demand. There are currently no plans to reintroduce them.
