I bought a pack (produced 3.2.20) with a different, new, for me significantly worse taste for the first time. Is the blend, the harvest, the roasting different? I don't know, but the café no longer tastes harmonious to me, but a little "hollow" and slightly "burnt". I hope this is unique. Have others had the same experience?

Do you still have the pack and can you tell me the lot number (letters and numbers) so that we can check the corresponding production? Please note that coffee is a natural product. Dear Sina, thank you for your reply. I don't know if this is the lot number, but a stamped number reads: L0000000158. The café is slightly bitter and not harmonious for me. I hope I have better luck with the next pack, otherwise I will have to switch to another product. greetings LNL

However, as coffee is a natural product, there can of course be fluctuations in the harvest, which can lead to a deviation in taste. If the quality of the raw material is not good when it is delivered to us, for example due to a bitter aroma profile, those responsible will reject the goods. I have also had this experience, but not only with Café Royal. However, the whole pack was rarely "affected". It was usually individual capsules that may have tasted different. Maybe it was the milk you added or something you ate beforehand that changed the usual taste, or maybe the lungo forte just doesn't taste the same as the lungo. Personally, I also find the lungo much better!
