Have they been changed, recently they have been tearing very often even under low loads?
Another thing that often bothers me iswhen I regularly have to see what some customers do in the fruit and vegetable department (touching and groping things) I find it disgusting.

Varies by cooperative. In our region, the bags from Neuchâtel-Fribourg and Aare are worlds apart. The ones in French-speaking Switzerland are much more stable and can be opened without "bending".

The bags for open sales had to be changed due to legislation. This means that the material is now lighter. However, this was some time ago and we have not received any negative feedback from customers.
As for the patting of fruit and vegetables:
We are always having discussions about this issue. For example, the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland has already discussed making gloves compulsory. For the time being, however, we would like to refrain from doing so, as these products are naturally grown products that do not have a germ-free surface and must either be washed or peeled before consumption.
