I have long been annoyed by the fact that winter vegetables such as Brussels sprouts are imported from abroad or that stored vegetables such as leeks come from Turkey. Why is that?
Why? Because no Swiss produce is available. It was a very, very bad vegetable season due to the weather. Unfortunately, some foreign produce is no longer imported at all, which I find far worse, for example parsley root. I would prefer foreign vegetables if they were at least available in good quality ... :-/
Hello Essamdahab31, Swiss vegetables are always a priority for us, but there is not always enough produce. We understand your displeasure and your desire to find only seasonal Swiss products on the shelves. However, Migros sees it as its task to cover the needs and wishes of a broad customer base. We only source leeks from Turkey. The normal leeks come from Switzerland or the Netherlands. Kind regards, Susi

Dear Susi, I would like to ask why there is no normal endive salad with green leaves or this in the budget pack, like a few years ago. These endive lettuces also have the right to be eaten, not just lavatta, where only light and torn lettuce is available. I think customers would certainly also eat some dirty lettuce, or leave the leaves of the budget lettuce in cold water so that they are crisp and fine again.Just because there are lazy housewives/men (I'm one of them too, but I still want to avoid food waste), nature gave us lush green and colors, I think the budget vegetables, fruits are great, they are naturally grown and even small, crooked, or natural growth with Schnäbi have a right to be eaten and also to be grown for the eye when preparing! The lemons are smaller, but have such thin peels that they can take on a large one and otherwise you take 2 is healthier and basic anyway! Thank you for putting this into practice.

Hello Pancaldi, thank you very much for your frank comments. We are happy to take your input on board. We currently have the endive Lavata (https://produkte.migros.ch/endivien-lavata-270701313200) in our range. You can also find an M-Budget chicory in Migros (https://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-chicoree). We offer products that deviate from the norm in certain product ranges. In the past, for example, we sold apricots damaged by hail as class II apricots. We also divide the apple and pear assortment into class I and II. In the event of harvest problems, we are also prepared to temporarily adjust our specifications in favor of the products. We attach great importance to the quality and size specifications of our fruit and vegetables. We also offer smaller/larger calibres or crooked fruit and vegetables (e.g. carrots and onions) under M-Budget. We sell the following product groups under M-Budget on average per year and are therefore offered as class II: - Apples with 4,000 tons - Carrots with 2,500 tons - Onions 2,000 tons - Potatoes 3,000 tons Kind regards, Susi
