Vegetables from the region - Price comparison

Gemüse aus der Region - Preisvergleich

I shop at Alnatura in Migros City in Zurich. Taking courgettes as an example, I noticed that in winter they are sold from Italy for around CHF 8 - if they then come from Switzerland they are still around CHF 7 and if they are from the region (Stefan Müller, Steinmaur), then they only cost around CHF 5.
If the farmer in the region is paid the same as other producers in Switzerland or abroad - then I think that's OK and the vegetables are simply cheaper due to the transportation route. But if the lower price is an indication that the farmer from the region receives less for the vegetables, then I don't think that's right!
