This coupon is registered in the Cumulus account about a month before the birthday so that you can use it to buy birthday presents or organize a party. The coupon for your own birthday is entered on the holiday itself or a few days before as a small surprise. These coupons are valid in Migros supermarkets as well as in specialist stores. This is not new. I dimly remember that years ago it was already an issue that you can register the mother and children, but not the father.

I don't know what happened then. Of course, it would have made sense if Famigros had been adapted so that fathers could also be entered - which is presumably what was done.
