Depending on the type of fruit (apple, citrus, exotic), very different technologies are used to process the fruit into semi-finished products or fruit juices. The morphology, i.e. the structure of the fruit, plays a very important role. Apples are ground and pressed whole and the juice is separated from the seeds, skin and stalks, while citrus fruits must first be halved and then pressed, similar to manual squeezing. The peel is processed separately. Accordingly, there are very different processing methods for exotic fruits. The respective juices are 100% natural, of very good quality and their composition corresponds to the respective variety or type of fruit.
Many consumers have a one-sided diet, hardly eat any fruit or are not (or no longer) accustomed to the characteristics of a fruit. For example, consumers may no longer like natural orange or apple juice because they are simply no longer familiar with the fruit. Accordingly, his organism also adapts to the non-consumption of fruit. If they then drink a few deciliters of apple, orange or pineapple juice, this can lead to indigestion or mild allergies.
This has little to do with better or worse quality. On the contrary, sensitive consumers can switch to so-called nectars. Instead of 100% natural fruit juice, these contain 50% or more sugar water and are therefore easier to digest. Such nectars can be found on every shelf, usually as multi-fruit combinations. Sweeteners are also used instead of sugar.
It is up to the consumer to decide which is ultimately the better quality. If someone has a pronounced intolerance to fruit acids or even allergic reactions to certain typical fruit ingredients (e.g. pineapple or strawberries), then it is advisable to avoid these juices. Smoothies or fruit and vegetable juice mixtures often contain bananas or vegetables, which also reduce the acidity. There are also high-quality alternatives without added sugar.
