Dear Migros I often buy fresh (uncooked) packaged corn on the cob. Unfortunately, these are wrapped in foil. When I unpack them at home, they smell extremely foul. They stink every time I buy them. They should change the packaging and sell them open or chilled or something. It doesn't even go away with a water bath. And I want to feed the corn cob leaves to the guinea pigs, but if they already smell rotten, it's probably not very digestible.

No, I meant whole corn on the cob (sweet corn for grilling, but not pasteurized) and fresh. They have a cardboard box at the bottom and are wrapped in cling film on top. I always buy them in Heiden/AR

Thank you for your feedback. In principle, we are not aware of any quality issues. However, it is possible that in warm temperatures the corn "sweats" a little in the foil and therefore takes on an unpleasant odour. If we are to carry out detailed clarifications, we need the packing date and/or the lot number of the affected packaging. This usually begins with the letter L. Have a nice day for the time being. I've never had a problem with the rotten taste of fresh corn on the cob. Perhaps it depends on the Migros store (storage etc.), but I have big problems with the fresh fruit in the Migros stores where I often go shopping (many are moldy and the staff make no effort to remove them)... For this reason, I no longer buy fruit at Migros, but always go to the (cheaper and much better quality) competition.
