At the beginning of September, I received a flyer with a free Freylini at the checkout. This flyer also contained a free code to take part in a competition currently being held under the title "365xFreylini". I then successfully redeemed this.
As I really liked this new chocolate, I bought three boxes of it a week later. I noticed that one of these codes (sticker with code) was still on one of the packs, and I later went to several Migros stores to look for more boxes with these stickers. Unfortunately, I discovered that they were generally missing!
On the websitewww.365xfreylini.chhabeI then saw that you can get a free code by sending in a pre-paid and addressed envelope.considering that during the promotion period it is obviously not even possible to participate by buying the relevant product, I find it a bit strange, to say the least, that you have to spend extra money on postage to participate!
The conditions of participation are also rather unclear. The flyer says "All persons resident in Switzerland AND FRANCE who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate." On the Internet, on the other hand, it says "All persons resident in Switzerland who have reached the age of 14 are eligible to participate." What applies here?
I have seen that there has already been a discussion here in the forum on the subject of "free participation" in competitions, and I am of the opinion that the organizers of the competitions could also comply with these legal regulations in such a way that one or more free codes could be given away on request by e-mail.
I saw that this is also possible, and that even Migros companies can do this, in the recently ended Aproz competition. There you could request 3 codes once by e-mail.
A different approach was chosen for the two competitions organized by Exquisto & Caruso. Until recently, these ran over a longer period of time (half a year or more than a year). As there were only sporadic codes on the packaging during this time, you could also enter for free at any time. This option was clearly indicated on the websites.
The company Zweifel Pomy-Chips AG, whose products are also sold in Migros, also makes it possible to receive a one-off free code by e-mail for each new competition.
What is your opinion on the points raised?
