I also wonder why Migros is introducing a line from Germany and has not introduced its own or an existing Swiss brand, is there a reason for this?

Our own brands are still the foundation of our product range. This should and will remain so in the future. However, Alnatura is much more than a "normal" brand supplier for Migros. We are striving for a long-term partnership with Alnatura.

On the subject of standards

Alnatura products are based at least on the EU Organic Regulation, which is largely comparable with the Swiss Organic Regulation. The biggest difference is the so-called "total operation" (= all organic or nothing). In contrast to the EU, the entire farm of a Swiss organic farm must be managed organically. I think the apparently fruitful partnership is a good thing and I also think it's great that the rest of the organic range and the private labels will remain as they are.
I didn't know about the flavorings in particular and was pleasantly surprised.
It's a shame that the standards are not the same as in Switzerland. But apparently it's not so bad and is probably balanced out by the Demeter and Bioland guidelines for some products. Standards are a difficult thing in themselves and especially across larger areas.
So in future I will be able to put Alnatura products in my basket without any major questions or concerns ;)
