Question to Migros regarding bread rolls and sweets in the self-service area
Frage an Migros betreffend Brötchen und Süssigkeiten in der Selbstbedienung
Dear Migros I have noticed several times that shortly before closing time, all the leftover and unsold bread rolls (e.g. Weggli, Bürli, Gipfeli etc.) and sweets (e.g. apple pockets, quark balls etc.) are thrown out of the self-service shelves into gray boxes. I'm wondering about this (food waste and all that): What happens to them? Denner, for example, reduces the price of its bread rolls and sweets by 50% shortly before closing time, including the large sandwiches (meat, sausages, cheese, vegetables, fruit, etc. anyway). If Migros throws away these small sandwiches and sweets, I would have the following suggestion: do the same as Denner, reduce the price of these products by 50% 1-2 hours before closing time, for example, so that you don't have to throw them away. There are many people who would still buy them. best regards
