I'm a bit speechless. I bought a veal fillet from the counter 3 days ago. On the one hand, I wanted about 400g of meat - as I have had the experience (several times) that they always cut off too little, I said I needed about 450g. The sales clerk then put the entire fillet that was packed there on the scales - it was a little more than 500g. She asked if that was enough and I said I would rather take a little less than more - she then said "If I just cut off a piece like that, it can no longer be sold." I was so perplexed that I couldn't say anything at first, but she just looked at me expectantly, so I stupidly said I'd just take the whole thing. That was on Friday evening. When I unpacked the meat on Monday lunchtime, an extremely strong and foul smell hit my nose - the meat was spoiled. After only 3 days and always in the fridge. I think that was absolutely cheeky - and then I was pressured into taking more than I wanted (I should have just said no and left). I am massively disappointed.
