Has anything been changed in the recipe of my favorite bar? After buying it again after a long absence, I noticed that it no longer has much to do with "crunchy". Unfortunately, the bar now seems rather soft and "flabby" - difficult to describe. But in any case, it no longer crunches when I take a bite. Hello Thunerin1987, thank you for the message. There has been a change of supplier for the farmers. They are now produced by our own industry (Midor). This change of supplier has resulted in slight adjustments to the recipes. However, the farmers are not completely new recipes. The existing recipes were largely adopted. Only palm oil has been removed from the recipes in order to meet the growing customer demand for alternatives to palm. I'm sorry that you no longer like your favorite bar! We are constantly working on optimizations so that our Farmer bars taste at least as good as before as soon as possible. Best regards, Matteo

However, some people noticed that if you search https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/forum?q=Farmer you can find the topics. In short: new producer, different company. Migros says it's because it's new without palm oil, but that can't be the only reason if the taste is totally different (e.g. apple, I suspect a different concentrate), it's just difficult to get the production process just right. But Migros will surely tell you it's due to the lack of palm oil, as they did for the first few weeks before the company change became an issue, but they are working on it (as of 9 months ago).
I wonder if Bodenseeknusperli has any other clairvoyant abilities (see the Infoline response) ;-D In the past, I would have given this post a "Like", but that's no longer possible because the post wasn't helpful, but at best amusing (even if it's basically sad that Migros' responses are so predictable).

Thank you, dear forum guardian ;-) I had indeed used the search function, but I was specifically looking for "my" bar and therefore didn't search through all the other Farmer topics. In any case, I have already found a great and, above all, crunchy alternative to the honey bar in Aldi.
