Misdeclaration of fruit / vegetables

Falschdeklaration Früchte / Gemüse

Dear Migros

Unfortunately, fruit and vegetables are often mislabeled. Interestingly, this is always the case with products that come from potentially problematic areas.
In this case, for example, the avocado, labeled as coming from Spain, actually comes from Colombia:

Many thanks for sensitizing our employees.

It may be a problem,

but what does Colombia have a problem with?

And as if an avocado from Spain tastes any different to one from Colombia...

Hello @DonPascual, thank you for your message. The origin of our fruit and vegetables must be correctly labeled at all times. We train our employees in this. In the case of avocados, we have various origins and these can change on a daily basis. For this reason, correct declaration is challenging. Under no circumstances do we want to mislead our customers. Best regards, Jenny
