Many products are getting cheaper and cheaper, unfortunately often at the expense of the producers. I buy from the farm when I can, but I also want to be able to buy fair products in Migros. Aldi is doing this with fair milk, 1.- goes to the farmer (instead of the usual approx. -.60). super cool! Why isn't Migros following suit? Which milk yields the most for the farmer? Heidi? Organic? Regional?

Instead of introducing a "fairly produced" milk for a few thousand kilograms and leaving the rest of the range unchanged, Migros introduced a program for "sustainable Migros milk" for the entire range back in 2017. Migros has promised to only sell milk from cows that are kept in a particularly animal-friendly manner and fed in a species-appropriate way. By the end of 2021, we will only offer drinking milk that meets the IP-SUISSE meadow milk, organic and Demeter standards. In general, it can be said that the proportion of the milk price that the producer receives is similar for the different types of milk. Kind regards, Chloe

Why doesn't Migros go along with fair prices? You write that the price is similar. A vague answer that leads me to assume that the price is -.60, a far cry from the 1.- that Aldi pays. Too bad

For example, you can voluntarily pay "your" farmer a little more for a liter of milk or for all his products from the farm store. As a donation, so to speak? That way he gets more directly for his work and you know for sure that the money goes directly to the producer. Personally, I think another milk in Migros is too much.

As you say, "could"... Migros probably doesn't want that, which is why you get such a vague answer. Otherwise there'll be a shitstorm, and Migros doesn't want that either. I think Aldi Fair Milk is great.
