When it comes to making homemade products such as jams and preserves, glass jars are a great solution - if only the labels could be removed. Some jarred products have a label that comes off relatively easily: either the whole label can be removed without a trace, or the glue is water-soluble and the label comes off after soaking. But some jars have labels that are virtually impossible to remove. Wouldn't it be time to standardize label adhesives so that jars can be reused?
