Due to a hypersensitivity, I should avoid wheat for the most part. (No, I don't have coeliac disease).
That's why I'm always on the lookout for alternatives that I don't have to make myself, which means I prefer spelt products.
Fortunately, I always find something, such as the new biscuits with peas or cheese/ham. Heavenly.
But woe betide me when I read the ingredients, I always get stuck with the wheat flour and ask myself why a product is declared to contain spelt when it's only 15%?
Oh sorry, I forgot, it says "with spelt" on it...
So my shopping continues, I have to turn every product around and read exactly what's in it.
Fancy corn tortillas, oh no, they're only 27% corn flour and the rest is wheat flour again...
Why can't you just use one type of flour for products and that's it?
It's not that much more expensive.
I know, many people are now saying: use the Aha products.
Um, idea good, but let's be honest, the taste isn't that great and why should I pay twice the price when there are other options?
I thank Migros for the Alnatura products, they are great, reasonably priced and exactly what I want.
It works.
I spoke to the store manager at my local Migros about it and lo and behold, 4 weeks later the first products were in the store, my joy was boundless. :o)
How do you see it, does it annoy you too, or do you just not care?
Question to Migros; why does it always have to contain this stupid wheat flour?
Thanks for your feedback and best regards
