Experience and question about PickMup at Migros Glattpark

Erfahrung und Frage zu PickMup im Migros Glattpark

On Wednesday evening, an order was placed with Digitec for pick-up in Glattpark. So that I can pick up the parcel on Friday.
On Friday at 10:45 the parcel was at Migros Glattpark.
As no pick-up invitation was sent until 18:30, I went to the store.
The staff there came and told me clearly that I needed a pick-up invitation and that otherwise there would be no parcel. Note: The pick-up invitation is generated as soon as the parcel is scanned.
When I pointed out that the parcel had been here since the morning, I was told that there were lots of parcels here and that they couldn't give me one.
They neither checked whether a parcel had been lying around all day nor did they do anything to solve the problem.
When I asked how long it would take for the pick-up invitation to arrive, they said: Maybe tomorrow or later.
I have to say that I often use pick-up stations because they are very practical on the way through town and have longer opening hours than the post office. There has never been a problem.
Effect: the pick-up invitation arrived less than 10 minutes after leaving the store. So back to Glattpark again.
The staff acted as if nothing had happened and then handed me the parcel (no explanation, no apology, nothing at all)

Question:
Is it normal at Glattpark for pick-up deliveries to lie around all day and the customer has to actively ask first?
How long would it have taken if I hadn't proactively gone by (or how long do you wait for the pick-up notification)?
So far, I've only seen it at Glattpark, where they don't take care of the customers, but just send them out again and don't even take a quick look.
Is it the same at other Migros stores? And why isn't this declared on the homepage of the respective station (e.g.: parcel is scanned once a week)? Then I would have picked it up at another branch.
