Disappointed about Migros' cooperation with Intrum
Enttäuscht über die Zusammenarbeit der Migros mit Intrum
Dear Migros Cooperative. I'm not sure if I've come to the right place with my request.
Migros has been my number 1 store since I was a child. We buy around CHF 1000 or more from Migros every month.
It has now happened to me that an invoice has gone unpaid. When there was a misunderstanding between me and my wife about the first reminder, we unfortunately missed it too. Now we have received mail from Intrum.
I'm disappointed in Migros for siccing Intrum on your long-standing and loyal customers after the first reminder. Without contacting them again and nothing.
I am also disappointed that Migros works with a company like Intrum, which charges exorbitant fees and works with pressure, threats and the fear of debtors. (I know Intrum from my work with young people).
In addition, according to Federal Law Art. 27 SchKG para. 3, it is not permitted for the costs incurred to be charged to the customer by a representative. In this sense, Intrum is not acting in accordance with federal law and is anything but customer-friendly.
For me, this approach by Migros is incomprehensible and disappointing. I would like to see more humanity and customer friendliness. But I would also like Migros to remind me, for example by letter or phone call, that an invoice is still outstanding. Then I am also prepared to pay a fee. But not to the extent that Intrum wants (CHF 174.25 for a product that cost CHF 400).
