Unparalleled waste of energy

Energieverschwendung sondergleichen

The MMM-Gäuggeli store, which reopened a good year ago, is beautiful and above all huge, but shopping in the Parerre (vegetables, meat products, cheese, etc.) is very tedious. A stream of cold air blows towards you from all sides of these refrigerated shelves. It's not even pleasant at the height of summer. There is a high risk of catching a cold if you have to search for something in front of these refrigerated shelves for any length of time. How can it be that so much energy is wasted unnecessarily when less electricity would be needed with shelf doors and this in a newly renovated store. I feel very sorry for the staff. I couldn't work there. For example, in the Coop Quader (which is older), the refrigerated shelves have doors and so the temperature in the store is much more pleasant. On the 2nd floor, where most of the normal groceries are, it's very pleasant. There is also a longer refrigerated wall with frozen items and there are DOORS everywhere. Apparently it works there too. Of course, I also know that there is a difference between frozen products and chilled products, but I am also concerned about the energy that is wasted unnecessarily.
Apart from that, I'm happy with MIGROS so far, although I have the feeling that the prices of fruit and vegetables (with very few exceptions) have risen exorbitantly. That really hurts my wallet and my mood.
