Hello everyone, the statement by vollundganz is actually not correct. The Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland regularly reviews the sale of fireworks. A decision for or against a future sale has not yet been made. Kind regards, Sina
It's a shame for the children, but it would be bad for the climate. And let's be honest, who goes looking for their rocket waste after it has fallen somewhere? It's a shame when everything ends up on the ground in neighborhoods and nobody cleans it up. But hearts for children are okay, but not if there are no fireworks. And anyone who thinks "then I'll let off what I wasn't allowed to on August 1st" is wrong. Fireworks should not be stored otherwise there is a high risk of them falling over. If in doubt, take them back.
When I walk around the city after New Year's Eve it actually looks terrible, everywhere full garbage cans filled with fireworks waste and for the people who are too lazy it is lying somewhere. Perhaps the disposal should be collected at the point of sale. And don't you do the planned emissions test for heating systems and cars? And we're not even talking about fine dust! So an M better should be clear.
In principle, fireworks can be stored. It is important that they are stored in a dry place and that children do not have access to them. However, fireworks do not have an expiry date. There is also no right to return them.
As a concession, the fireworks can be stored at our premises (Bugano in Neuendorf). It must be brought there and collected again.
I am still grateful to Migros today that they have stopped selling fireworks (unlike their competitor). It's really no longer in keeping with the times. Thank you Migros!
