Dear Migros,
what if certain information was laser-printed directly onto products instead of wrapping them in plastic?
On Thursday evening (August 29, 2019) on France 2's Tout compte fait, they were talking about, among other things, all that plastic used to package organic fruit and vegetables. They filmed a company where they wrap food in plastic and the amount of plastic they can use there per day. So one of the employees there developed a laser that simply peels off a thin layer of the produce's skin and writes "Organic" on it.
It's a win-win situation: a better image for the company selling the products in the store, and less waste for customers. What's more, it saves space for the company packaging the products, as it no longer needs to store tons of rolls of packaging.
Hopefully, my message will inspire you, because frankly, are we talking about single cucumber packaging?
Thank you in advance for your attention.
Best regards,
Yasmina Dersi
