But it turned out to be tedious when I went shopping at the latest. Pushing the trolley with one hand, holding the cell phone with the other and picking up the items from the shelves at the same time.
If a shopping list is already offered in the app, why not attach a cell phone holder to the shopping cart?

But this would mean: 2 holders? To the right of the child seat as before the scanner holder and to the left the cell phone holder and then stupidly only if the child accesses both devices and throws them on the floor....
I'm always glad (when I'm looking after the child) to be able to use the black container attached to the other end (what's it for? - for small items that could fall through?) for the scanner.
But you're right, of course, if you're holding the postage slip on your cell phone in one hand, at the same time holding such heavy bottles and other items in the other hand and having to scan the barcode with your "third hand", then you also have to adjust the trolley because of the crowd, then you're quickly "at the limit" even without a child in the seat ;-)
I therefore have a completely different wish than the cell phone holder.... Why not be able to load the shopping list from the Migros app onto the scanner... ? (in a different color... or without the price... and if you buy the exact same item, the entry is swapped - otherwise the entry in the list remains, of course without affecting the payment process)
P.S. The prerequisite is that the same Cumulus number is stored in the MigrosApp and in the scanner handling... ;-)
