Already answered: it took a while after registering the iPad. But now it's there, and I can edit the shopping list on the tablet while the iPhone is plugged into the stereo! Super!
There are many improvements associated with the new app. I use it every day. One small improvement would be if you could formulate products yourself again if you can't find something. For example, I used to write "money" to remember to make a cash withdrawal.
