Shopping list in the Migros app

Einkaufsliste in der Migros App

Guest

The questions may sound a bit theoretical, because I use my own app for my shopping and can therefore only point out the differences (or what I miss about the Migros shopping list).
However, the Migros app would be a very interesting option for me if the shopping list could be loaded onto the scanner, thus eliminating the duplication of Migros hand scanner + own cell phone/postcard.

-- 1. sorting by category is ok in itself, because you shop according to a self-defined route. However, the order of the categories should correspond to this path, which in most cases starts with vegetables/fruit. Since not every Migros is set up in the same way, the branch should be selected first when sorting.
-- The alphabetical order of the products is ok, but I am bothered by the somewhat broad individual terms within the categories. For example, the term cake: I expect cakes and not Cucina&Tavola, children's toys, articles from Do+It Garden etc. which are not to be found under the category Bakery,Confectionery&Baking anyway, i.e. not even in the supermarket. So, after making my way through hundreds of items, I finally end up with the Tyrolean cake and can add it to my shopping list.
--3. Such an approach (fighting my way through 100s of items) may work if I make fixed shopping lists and always shop according to the same routine, but not with spontaneously created shopping lists. I miss a kind of favorites list where you only see the items that you have previously selected as favorites. It should also be possible to assign these favorites to another of the predefined categories.
--I find the terms total/savings/cumulus points superfluous for a postcard because they are not complete anyway. I can see the total on the scanner, the actions in the same place on the orange marker and the cumulus points are only visible after the purchase because of the 20x etc.
--5 Own terms for items that are not listed but are stored in a personal catalog. Catalog are stored

In short: Compared to my own app, I miss:
-- Personal catalog of terms that can be assigned to categories
-- Immediate display of the relevant articles, so that you are at your destination after just 3-5 letters
-- Simply tap on these suggestions and take them over
-- Do not put the display in idle mode (dark background - white font) for shopping list
-- own sorting
-- Move individual items from one list to another

I know.... a lot of wishes ;-)

Thank you @marcoti for all the valuable input. We appreciate you taking the time to do this. After all, our app is designed to make shopping easier for users. Our technicians are currently working on a few irregularities in the shopping list. We are not yet able to estimate how long it will take to check and rectify them. It is quite possible that some of your points will already be improved. In any case, we have informed the developers about your feedback so that they can take it into account. Best regards, Tamara

Thank you @M-InfolineTamara. I will check back occasionally and if I have the feeling that the shopping list in the M-Apps is faster to handle and of course especially when transferring this data to the Subito scanner... ;-) ... then I will switch.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the handling, but based on the lack of reactions, this doesn't seem to be the case and everyone is perfectly happy with the shopping list in the Migros app... or doesn't use it.

However, I have just seen a reaction from@adrianfreiburghaus, who mentions the order of the actions in the categories.... this of course also applies to the shopping list in general!

We are of course pleased that you prefer to use our app @marcoti. The shopping list is being completely revised due to the current problems. Of course, we hope that your input will also be taken into account. We can't promise you anything, because we don't know exactly what our developers will adapt - we'll be surprised!

Best regards

Salü zäme,

I would have almost the same requirements :-)

Optimal for me would be:

  • The Cumulus QR first when starting the app, so that I can hold out my cell phone immediately during self-scanning
  • Postal saddles are immediately transferred to the self-scanning device -> this eliminates the need to 'lock' the cell phone screen, and you would otherwise have to have a cell phone holder on the scale, which you don't need when transferring the postal list to the self-scanner.
  • Then, the icing on the cake, the correct order of the products, because the app knows which Migros I'm in, so manual sorting is no longer necessary.
  • ...plus of course a selection of all the coupons you have when paying, and not just the activated ones (including the blue ones), then you wouldn't have to have activated all the coupons before checking out (Migros knows what coupons I have to choose from), for example I only want to activate one twice if I have more than 100 in the trolley.

So, enough work for the business analysts and the programmers :-)

Greetings Markus

Hello magoo, thank you very much for your input. Of course, we have also forwarded this to our app specialists so that they can check what is technically possible. Unfortunately, as always, we can't make any promises. Nevertheless, it's great to see all the cool suggestions you have. Best regards, Madlen
